Baked Macaroni And Cheese is a classic food recipe that anyone can enjoy. It is easy to make with simple ingredients and can be made using different types of cheese or spices. To prepare this dish, you need:
Ingredients :
- 1 kg (1000 g) shredded cheddar cheese.
- 2 cups (300 g) shredded Gruyere cheese.
- ½ 1 cup (200 g) coarse breadcrumbs.
- ½ cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese.
- ½ kg (500 g) small macaroni (crescent shape).
- 1 tablespoon (15 ml) extra virgin olive oil.
- 6 tablespoons (75 g) unsalted butter.
- 4 tablespoons (50 g) melted butter.
- ⅓ cup (50 g) flour.
- 3 cups (750 ml) whole milk.
- 1 cup (250 ml) liquid cooking cream.
- ¼ teaspoon (1.25 g) paprika.
- Salt and black pepper.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Put the cheddar and Gruyere cheese in a large bowl and mix well.
- Boil the macaroni in boiling salted water until cooked, then drain it from the water.
- Add olive oil to the macaroni and mix well until the ingredients are combined.
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat, then add the flour and stir for a minute.
- Gradually add milk and cream, stirring constantly until the flour dissolves and the ingredients are combined.
- Add salt and black pepper and mix well.
- Add four cups of shredded cheese and stir constantly until completely melted, then remove the mixture from heat.
- Add the macaroni and mix well, then spread half of the macaroni in a buttered dish.
- Spread the remaining shredded cheese over the macaroni, then the remaining macaroni, and set the dish aside.
- Put breadcrumbs, Parmesan, melted butter, and paprika in a bowl and mix well.
- Spread breadcrumb mixture over macaroni, then place dish in oven for 30 minutes, then serve hot.
